WOOHOO! Tonight Taylor and I went to see Rascal Flatts in concert at the ESA. It's always fun to have a date with T-Ray. He is the biggest RF fan and is always so excited when the come to town. He has been able to meet them for the last 3 shows. He and I are member of their fan club and we got some amazing seats last night!
Since the M&G pass was in my name, I asked the lady in charge if I could give it to Taylor since he didn't get one this year. It took some convincing, but she let him go back instead of me. He was so happy afterwards. He couldn't stop smiling. He didn't have a lot to say about what happened, just that they asked him if he knew the words to Life is a Highway. He said yes and that was it.
After a trip to dippin dots we were ready for the Flatts. Their stage was amazing! They had the big stage in front, then 2 pit areas with aisles running through the middle and around the outside. Then they had a bridge that descends from the ceiling to get them from the satellite stage to the main stage. COMPLICATED!
The show started with them in the back at the satellite stage. They played all the fav's and some never released to radio songs from each album. The sound was terrible in the arena. I had a hard time figuring out what they were singing or saying. There were lots of high fives and hand shakes. It was great being so close. When they sang "My Wish", I was grateful to be there with my son and just felt the words meant so much. I think of the kids whenever I hear that song. Here are a few pics from the show....
After a great rendition of "Backwards", they ended with "He's not the leaving kind,", with a little "Don't stop believing" by Journey. They brought out a bunch of Marines and saluted them for their work to protect our country. By the end of the night, T-ray was exhausted! The show didn't end until 11:30. Taylor was asleep in the car by the time we got home. He had the time of his life.

Hi Reg; I love your new site. Looks like a great show. You need to buy Tate a new shirt, maybe a red one with a big block "U" on it.
Love Ya
Dad
