Weekend Update

Yes, I realize it's Tuesday! This weekend brought Carter being sick with strep throat and a trip to Wendover to see Blake Shelton in concert.

Let's start with Carter. I knew he was sick when he asked me to take him to get a haircut. After a trip to the doctor, he was diagnosed with strep. He has been laying around, drinking gatorade ever since. Poor kid is still out of school today. Hopefully tomorrow he will get back on track and feel like his usual self. Sadly, I didn't take him for the haircut, so now he is feeling better and doesn't want one! GRRRRR

Wendover weekend! It was suppose to be a fun trip with a bunch of gals from work. It ended up being me and Randy and Angelise and her hubby Matt. Everyone else cancelled.

The concert was fun, and short. Blake only played for 1 hour 10 minutes. It took us longer to drive to Wendover! It would have been a better show at a bar with people dancing and singing along. Somehow the venue in Wendover is full of stiffs who sit the entire time. Go figure! Of course Randy was lucky enough to have a front row seat for the drunk lady show next to him. Eventually she fell on her butt and left the show. Afterwards we played the nickel slots. Once my $20.00 was lost I was done.

Our room had the most uncomfortable beds on the planet! Randy and I both woke up and could barely move. Next time I will spend more money and stay somewhere nicer. I learned my lesson.

I'm off to care for the sick one.
