The Soup!!!!!

I am so freakin excited! One of my fav shows on TV is "The Soup" on E!. I realize many of you don't know what that is, but let me say that the host Joel McHale is so hilarious.

The Soup is a weekly update show about all the stupid and hilarious stuff that happens in pop culture and reality TV. Joel makes fun of Lindsey (It's Lindsey!), Miley (It's a felony) and the Hills (Spencer's creepy flesh colored beard).
Anyway, Joel McHale is coming in concert in June! YES! I can't wait to go laugh my arse off.

Ditching Directv

We have finally had it with Directv. The last straw was the water leaking from the roof into the attic, into my kitchen (and my new hardwood floors). Seems the contractor they hired failed to patch the gaping hole he left in my roof.

So after that little incident was over, the next day the Comcast salesman came to the door. Luckily he ignored my Neon-Green Cricuted "No Soliciting" sign and rang the bell. It wasn't a hard sell. I had to make sure that Randy would have his soccer (football to everyone else in the world) channels and that I would have E- can't miss the Soup~!

Today it was installed and now we wait to see how bad it turns out to be. The price is much cheaper than what we were paying before, so hopefully it won't totally suck!

I'm Back!

So I've been kinda MIA lately. Sorry about that. I started working full time and have been trying to figure out my life since then. Stampin Up just layed off 65 people! Luckily Randy wasn't one of them. Hopefully he will be safe for a while.

Since I last blogged we have added 3 new members to our family (well, not OUR family, but extended family).

EmmaJean & Annabelle were born to Danielle and Josh

Jacob was born to Monica and Greg

Let me just say that I'm so glad none of them belong to me! I think I still have PTSD from the twins.

Next, "Defying Gravity" was released a while ago and I can honestly say that I'm so happy that I love it! Keith's last CD was miserable and I only liked 2-3 songs max. This CD is happy and full of love. Go buy a copy or 2!

The KURT (Keith Urban Road Trip) is planned and set in stone. Linda is meeting Randy and I in Vegas for a weekend of fun with NO KIDS! We are also meeting Marsha and her hubby and possible the bad mamajama from down in Alabama, Heather. What a great time it will be.

In other music related news, Carter favorite band, Green Day is touring this summer/fall and they are making a stop in SLC. I can't wait to take him. Although he is a bitter, ornery mouthy little thing, I still love him.

The soccer season has started and so far the twins team hasn't lost a game. I'm thinking that they won't want to play next year, but I have faith that I can talk them into it. It's seriously the only form of exercise those 2 get.
Well, the sun is shining so I'm off to bask in it's glory before work tonight.

The Good and the Bad and the Ugly

First, the good....

Keith Urban will be here live 9/9/09 with special guest Little Big Town. This could not get any better. Keith puts on the best show of any genre. He is an amazing performer and you get your money's worth and more. I can't wait for the new CD out March 31st. The cover art is weird, but I'll give it a shot. It can't be any worse than Love, pain in my ass and the whole kit and kaboodle.

LBT are amazing as well. I think of them as the country version on Fleetwood Mac. Their harmonies are stellar. I've seen them live at CMA Music Fest as well as opening for Carrie Underwood last year. They don't disappoint.
Needless to say I joined LBT's fan club in hopes of pulling great seats. We all know that KU's fan club is run by idiots, and sadly Keith is their king.

Next...
I bought more tickets to Kenny Chesney. I don't know if this qualifies as good since I now have 2 extras at $140/each. I really want good seats since Linda is coming to town from Ohio. I think they will be good, except for the fact that KC is literally 4 feet tall...in boots.
.

I have faith that I will sell them. Everyone pray with me.

The Bad...

I've been sick for a week now. I finally broke down and went to the doctor today. I managed to come away with bilateral ear infections, a sinus infection and Asthma induced broncitis. Hopefully the $60 worth of meds I brought home will help. I've missed work all week and really need to get back ASAP. I'm sure those new mom's won't mind me hacking all over their newborns.

The Ugly...

Jason Mesnick is a complete tool! As we all know he was "The Bachelor" and I really loved him from last season. He managed to fall in love with Melissa (my fav) and then dumped her on national TV. In the much deserved words of Melissa, "You're such a Bastard."

Octomom- This chick needs some psychiatric help. What a complete idiot! 14 freaking kids and no job, home or money. Who was the ass wipe that assisted her with all this in vitro? They both should be locked up for sure! I'm so over seeing this bat sheet crazy chick on TV. I seriously can't stand her Angelina wanna butt!

Against my better judgement

I bought tickets for the boys to go see WWE Raw. What a sucka I am! Don't worry. Now I can hold them over their heads for better behavior! Wouldn't any mom do that?

I escaped!

I totally ditched the twins to day. They were on my last nerve! I warned them not to call me unless they were on fire or missing a limb. I wasn't kidding either.

I met the mafia for lunch and a movie at the Gateway. I rarely go downtown so it's always an adventure. Anyone that knows me can tell you that I get lost no matter where I go. I managed to remember where the entrance for the parking garage was and didn't have to circle the block twice.

We had lunch at Jason's Deli and then went to see "Confessions of a Shopaholic". Isla Fisher is adorable! I was meant to be and Aussie, I love all of them (well, not really all of them.) Although I really can't relate to a shopaholic, I can relate to a girl in debt and falling for a cute boy. It was a total chick flick and we all loved it.

Afterwards we headed to Bath and Body works. We all stocked up on our soaps and lotions. I decided to try Wild Honeysuckle. It smells divine.

Then it was back to reality.

I've had enough!

I'm so over these boys being home off track! I swear they are conspiring to mentally break me down.

DEEP BREATH.

Only 4 days left. I hope I still have my hair then. I'm on call the day they go back to school, but Tuesday, I'm going to the spa!

NO WAY!

I tried forever, at least it seemed that way, to get tickets to KC this morning. Anyone who knows me already realizes that I'm a ticket snob! I demand good seats or I will stay home. I have paid scalpers, joined fan clubs and check at the box office the day of show to get upgraded seats.

I was totally excited to see all the openers for the show. Much to my suprise the pre-sale was kinda a disaster! We did end up with 4 seats in the lower bowl. They probably won't be bad, at least that's what I'm telling myself.

Linda is flying into see Keith with us the Saturday before, so we will make a week of it. She loves KC, so hopefully she will be happy.

I'm still reeling from the $140/ticket cost! OUCH!

Happy Valentines Day!

DSCF2457

HVD Everyone!  I know I’m late but it was a busy weekend with Vday and then the palace on Sunday.  Overall, it was an uneventful day.  Above are the cards that Randy made me.  One for the morning and one for the night.  He’s so crafty!  We decided to go to dinner at Outback.  Our plans were to go early, around 4:30.  We figured that would much earlier than everyone else.  WRONG!  We arrived to find the wait times between 90-100 minutes.  Luckily we were able to snag a table by the bar in no time and enjoyed a very lovely dinner.

I was able to surprise Randy with his gift.

DSCF2451 DSCF2452

I got him his first Ipod.  Now I have to teach him how to use it and Itunes, but he’s a fast learner.

Grammy's 2009

Overall the Grammy's are usually a good time. I often wonder who decides which performers to showcase and why. This is where I rant about the obvious need for an emergency bill via Congress to get Rap artists off the show! I enjoy an occasional rap song, Eminem is great. I can't stand the crap that was on the show last night. And since I'm already on a tirade, why are most rappers lil'? Would it be better to be big?

The Good....

***Obviously the tribute to the late Bo Diddley. Keith rocked it out and looked hotter than all the rest. I realize he was sitting next to BB King.

***Al Green & Justin Timberlake. Although a last minute add on to the show, they couldn't have picked a better guitar player to accompany them.

***The intro for Carrie Underwood. Keith looks amazing!

***Katy Perry. Randy says she's a freak. I say quirky is more appropriate. She's in concert tomorrow night in SLC and I'm still wondering why I didn't buy tickets? Stupid me! I think she's young and fresh and fun.

***Sugarland. Jennifer Nettles is amazing. I will see them live this year, or die trying.

***Kid Rock. I know it's a little disgusting, but I actually like Kid.

***Jennifer Hudson. She is amazing and thankfully she's doing well.

The Bad....

***The rap pack. In the words of Beyonce...To the Left, to the left. Get to steppin!

*** Lil Wayne. I'm awaiting a transcript so I could understand a freakin word!

***Carrie Underwood. She looked great, sounded terrible.

***Neil Diamond. Time to hang it up.

***Taylor and Miley- NAILS ON A CHALKBOARD!

***Jonas Bro's and Stevie Wonder. Are their 15 minutes almost up?

***Cold Play. You should never dress as the wiggles for an awards show.

***Kenny Chesney. Someone should tell him never to sing a ballad on live tv. His voice is simply not good enough.

***Allison Kraus and Robert Plant. Explain..please?

Pole Dancing Class

Yes...as in strippers! Angelise planned a girls night out at Studio Soiree for a bunch of gals from work. They teach a bunch of classes, but specialize in Pole Dancing. I'm here to tell you it's harder than it looks! I gave up after a few minutes. It was a blast to visit with old friends. We found a few gals that could get a side job making some serious bank! Hidden talents!
