Surgery went well, but

I can't say the same about the way my hair looks. HA!

I won't post much, just to say that everything went great. I get out of my splint on Tuesday, which will definitely help my newly discovered bedhead! Currently I look like female version of Robert Pattinson, only with better eyebrows and some color to my skin. Until Tuesday, I am busy shopping online, learning to type one-handed and getting frustrated trying to open jars.

HASTA!

Thanksgiving

Well, it's officially over! Another Thanksgiving came and went. I was supposed to work today, but the labor and delivery gods were on my side. I ended up cancelled for the entire 12 hours! YES!

The day started with Nut golfing with Dad, Erik and Jerrod. You couldn't have paid me to get up early and chase that stupid ball around. Afterwards we went to Mom's for a lovely dinner. It was great to see my grandma and cousin Liz. Nut and I were having the best time talking to Nathan about his upcoming Christmas Play. We were asking him if he was playing the Christmas lobster. What about Baby Cheez-whiz? He thought we were crazy. By the time we left I think we have had him convinced that there really was a lobster in the Christmas story.

Afterwards we headed to my sis-in-laws Carla's for dessert. The whole gang was there. Dani is getting so big! Those twin girls are definitely growing. She is due the end of March. We ended the day with a Wii bowling competition. I think Taylor ended up the champion.

It was great to be home for the holiday. Now to think that Christmas is literally just around the corner. Happy Shopping!

Grounds for Divorce!

Nut and I went to see Twilight this morning. It was nice to be away on a date! Of course this is what transpired after the movie. He has left for Nikkers. Another husband...GONE!

Actually he said Nikki should been in Twilight since she's obviously a vampire. I agree to a point. No reason to waste a good movie on Nikkers (heaven knows she couldn't find a good movie if it bit her in the arse.).

Fetus Archuleta breaks young girls hearts

I thought this was hilarious! I will also mention that the real winner of AI, David Cook, has a new album out. YEAH DC!

LBT & Carrie Underwood

I will start this post by saying I do not love Carrie Underwood. I had originally bought tickets to the show because I do like Little Big Town. I know, many are asking, Who?

LBT are a new group, although they have been around Nashville for many years. They consist of Jimmy, Kimberly, Karen and Phillip. I like to think of them as the Fleetwood Mac of country music. They have amazing harmonies and are great songwriters as well.

I went to the show with my friend Donna from work. We arrived a bit late, due to the 47 minute wait to eat at Chili's...another story! We had amazing seats. 11th row, on the floor, right next to the catwalk. I was amazed at how good LBT sounded live. They are so energetic and fun. The girls are super thin! By then end of their set the crowd was on their feet and singing along. I loved that they sang "Life in a Northern Town".

We waited about 40-45 minutes for CU to start. I do not remember the set list, but she sang for 90 minutes. She changed clothes way to many times for my liking. She started out in a black mini dress with black knee high boots. Then changed into a strapless blue ball gown. After a few songs she took off the long skirt and the blue dress became a mini dress as well. Then into jeans a t shirt and vest. Then later the jeans with a leather jacket. Also, her hair looked like crap! I was wondering if she even combed that mop today!

She has gotten better since the last time we saw her a couple years ago. She still has little stage presence and spends way to much time at the back of her stage on a platform.

During her set LBT came back out and sang "You can go your own way" by Fleetwood Mac. It was fun to see them back on the stage. I was ready for CU to be done by that time.

The highlight had to be when she covered Guns and Roses "Take me down to Paradise City". It was upbeat and full of energy. She went straight into "Before he cheats" and then the show was over. BTW, she never introduced her band, all 8 members of it, including Chad Jeffers. I found that to be rude! Every concert I have ever gone to has introduced every person in their band during the show.

Overall, it was fun. I don't know that "Hairy Underwear" as the boys call her, is my cup of tea. She was well received by the crowd, which was lots of young girls. She is a good singer, but I think she has a long way to go before she achieves the stage show of Keith, Kenny or Brad.

There's no hiding from me now!!!!!!!

I just discovered that Sprint has a family locator you can get each month. It costs $5.00 and you can track down your kids (since some how they never have cell service when it's time to come home). You go online or from your phone and tell it to find the little buggers and in about 15 seconds it locates the kid and tells you where they are. I spend at least 5 bucks a month in gas trying to find each of them, so I guess I will actually be saving money now. HA HA HA.

Now we can all take bets on how long it will take them to figure out to just turn the phone off!

My 2 favorites together at last!

All I can say is WOW! I love Brad and Keith separately, but together they are amazing. If they tour together, I'm renting an RV and hittin the road. Buy me a GPS for Christmas...I'm gonna need it.

Christmas Came Early!!!!!!!

WOOHOO! I was so excited to come home today and find my 2009 Keith Urban calendar on the front porch. Ever year KU sells a calendar filled with fan taken photos. All profits go to St. Jude's Hospital. It is a really easy way to give and get something awesome in return. I remember how excited I was the year one of my pic's was chosen for the calendar.

Tomorrow my "Love, pain and the whole crazy world tour" DVD should arrive. Good thing I'm working tomorrow or I'd stay in my PJ's, curling up on the couch watching Keith all day. Now I will have to wait until Wednesday. BUMMER!

This totally makes up for the scary movie Donna and Angelise made me go see today.

RSL ROCKS!

Real Salt Lake are awesome! We won our match against Chivas and now with NY beating Houston we get another home game on Saturday. I'm totally excited. Randy's already asking if we can go to LA for the MLS Cup. OF COURSE WE CAN (if we can make a stop at Disneyland as well.)

Happy Anniversary!

Who'd a thought that 2 very young 20 year olds would have lasted through 18 long years of marriage. Somehow, Nut and I have made this far! It hasn't all be roses and fun. There have been some some very difficult years. Having 3 kids under the age of 2 was very hard, but somehow he didn't leave me (although I would have left me!). We still have a lot of work left to do. One very moody, teenager who knows everything, and 2 pretty sneaky 11 years on his tail. They will all be outta the house before we know it!

I love Nut more today than I did the day I married him. He is such a loving and caring hubby. He takes such good care of me and the boys. He always makes the comment that he wishes I didn't have to work. I wonder if he realizes that he didn't marry Bree VandeCamp? I love my life and wouldn't change it for the world.

We have enjoyed so much together. He lets me live my Keith Urban obsession, I let him live his RSL obsession. We travel to fun places and enjoy every moment together.

Since he went to LA for the RSL game this weekend he left me this card.

It's been a great ride so far. Hopefully we can continue to do whatever we do to make this work.

I LOVE YA NUT!!!!!!!

WE WIN!!!!!!

Okay, really we tied, but RSL still won the series and we are moving to the next round of the playoffs. SWEET!

I'm so glad I let Nut go to LA for the game. Tomorrow is our 18th anniversary, but I know how much he loves soccer, this was really the best gift I could have given him. The 12 hour drive home is gonna suck...no lie!

Now I have to wait for Randy to get home and tell me who we play in the next round.

BRACE FACE X2!

After Miles and Taylor's ortho appt yesterday, Dr. Ellison asked if they would rather get their braces on today. He was able to get their T bar's back from the lab in time, so we went ahead and had braces placed today.

Miles..Of course wearing Red Elastics to support the Utes
Taylor...Of course wearing blue elastics to support the cougars (I have no answers)
My babies are growing up so fast!

Sweet Thing

I LOVE Keith Urban's new song. Shocking...I know! Take a listen. Sounds like my old Keith may be making a comeback. YEAH!!!!!!!

Cuttin' me open!

Today was my follow up with Dr. Hammon for my numb hand. The results were in from the nerve conduction study, mild/moderate nerve degeneration. My options were to either have surgery or wear a brace for 24 hours a day. After a discussion it was decided to have the surgery on December 1st. The downtime is 2-4 weeks. I don't think it will be all bad. I'm actually looking forward to feeling my fingers again. I guess they will have to live without me at the pelvic palace for a while.

Weekend Update

FRIDAY

Halloween is no fun anymore! The kids are older and want nothing to do with getting all dressed up like Peter Pan or a pirate. Miles and Taylor both went as Jason (they really are identical), and Carter was Freddy Kruger. They roamed the neighborhood with their friends while Nut and I handed out candy.

At least Coco was in the spirit. She waited at the front door for the kids to come. When we opened the door, she made her way out the door and greeted all her new friends. It was kinda pathetic to watch by the front door all night. She really thought everyone as coming to see her.

SATURDAY

WE WIN!!!!!! Real Salt Lake played their first playoff game in team history and we WON! It was a great game. We should have scored numerous times but finally in the 90th minute we got our first goal. It was so much fun! Carter was grounded, so his punishment was to come with us. That was fun too. HA HA HA

SUNDAY

I worked at the pelvic palace. I was assigned to be triage and didn't see a patient until 1:30 in the afternoon! It was go quiet! After I discharged her I was able to go home early. YEAH ME!
