RIP Michael.

What a sad day. The news that Michael Jackson passed away was surprising to say the least. I was a child of the 80's. In the 80's there was no one bigger than MJ. He was the KING! I loved him. I thought he was uber cool, no matter what everyone said about him.

I owned a copy of "Thriller" on vinyl. I had a poster of him in my room. I was sure he could moonwalk on water. I thought the white glove was cool. I loved that he hung out with Webster. I loved that he had a monkey named Bubbles. Who wouldn't love that he had a theme park at his house?

Thriller was the coolest video I had ever seen. Still is. MJ was responsible for making music videos what they are today. He made mini-movies that told a story. Remember how cool it was during Billie Jean when the sidewalk lite up?

As I grew older, I realized he may not be all that he seemed. He was accused of terrible things. He become a total weirdo. Fame and a lack of a childhood did horrible things to him.

I feel for his children. Who will take care of them? This is totally sad.

oh yeah this sucks, it's very sad and those poor kids, god bless them. poor MJ, he was a weird one but deserves our respect as an incredible artist. a legend. and our pity as a man who suffered. if the claims about him were true i cannot forgive that, but it's too late for that now. his songs always moved me. his greatest hits is an awesome cd.
