Resi's for 2009
1. Lose Weight. It has come to my attention that I have put on a few pounds (a few...LOL). I am starting out with the slow and sure method. 30 minutes per day. That should be easy enough to ignore. I remember when I used to be a gym rat, those were the days.
2. Catch up my scrapbooks. I started this one today! I just finished ordering prints of over 500 pictures that will most likely never make it into scrapbooks. Yeah me!
3. Spend more quality time with my family. This should be simple. Basically everyone here ignores me, so any effort should be applauded. If only I could replicate myself into a video game then maybe I would have a chance.
4. Send a birthday card to everyone in my family this year. Actually, I think if I can manage to compile a list of every ones birthday's this could be accomplished.
5. Not complain about the weather or SLC. I think I will wait to start this one in April/May. I will have a much better chance of success if I'm not cold.
6. Paint the house. I'll be honest. I've had paint samples taped to the walls for 2 years. I totally suck at interior design. I refuse to exert all the energy to paint the walls only to find out that I really don't like the way it all turns out. Maybe I should just hire someone. Problem solved!
So that's the list. It's good, huh? I'll try my hardest to try, that's all I can promise. Don't be too disappointed when I fail miserably.

Year of Snow...continued
Posted by Queen Reg at 5:16 PM 1 comments
Christmas 2008...The year of snow!
Let me start by saying that I struggle to like Christmas, let alone love it. When you throw in 10-12 inches of snow in my driveway, I tend to really hate it.
I had planned to make french toast for breakfast. That plan was a no go since we were still without any electricity. So we had the ever-christmasy cold cereal.
We had a good time hanging out with mom, dad and all the cousins. After we got home, Randy and Miles went out to snow blow. They were gone for over an hour. Poor things.
Since the snow had knocked out the satellite, we had no tv for the night. Randy and I started watching the Dark Knight. It was going well until the movie frozen with 30 minutes left. So we have no idea how it ends.

Christmas Eve
Randy had a great idea that he wanted to make dinner on C'mas eve. Fine by me! If I don't have to cook then so be it. He searched all my cookbooks (all 2 of them) and scoured the Internet for his recipes. He wouldn't tell us what he was making. He went to the grocery store and got everything he needed.
It was fun to be with him in the kitchen. He was very dedicated to his masterpiece. He made Caprese salad, Linguine with pepper sauce and creme brulee from dessert. It was delicious!
He has decided to make brisket for New Years. I love his new hobby.

New Moon Changes
I stole this from Perez.
But what about the reports that the studio, Summit, doesn't want to re-hire "baby-faced" Taylor Lautner as Jacob. Apparently, they don't think he has what it takes to play the werewolf love interest/lead in New Moon.
That was NOT an oversight!
Now, reports are that the 26 year-old actor Michael Copon, from Scorpion King 2 (above, bottom), is one of the several actors director Weitz is considering to play the new and larger Jacob Black role.
A rep for Copon said they are making all efforts to land this gig. Even Copon is taking to self-advertisement by changing his Facebook status to messages such as "Michael Copon in a Twilight Zone!" and "Michael Copon is the older Jacob Black!" His rep confirmed that the Facebook is indeed Copon's.
Hey, whatever it takes to be noticed!
Even Summit confirmed that omitting Launter from the release wasn't an error. A rep said, "The casting decision in regards to the character Jacob Black has yet to be made."
Drama!!!

Additionally, 27-year-old Prince Caspian star Ben Barnes is also campaigning for a role. He's said to be actively trying to get the role of Aro, "a mind-reading vampire whose "New Moon" encounter with Edward and Bella helps shape their destiny together." And, coincidentally enough, Barnes has the same manager as Copon and Twilight star Cam Gigandet.
We smell a big paycheck coming in for their manager!
But even when a lead for Jacob has been cast, director Weitz is only left with about 12 weeks until filming starts.
There you have it Twilight fans!
What do U think?
Would Michael Copon be a good choice for the role of Jacob?

Long Time, No Blog!
Hey all! I'm alive and well. Here are some updates since I last blogged.
2. My sweet girl, Belle, got a new bed. Not big news, I know. She is the best dog ever and now she has a brand new memory foam bed.
3. The tree finally made it up. We are perfecting our RSL (Real Salt Lake) tree. This is our 3rd year with the tree and other than needing more real bears (which are no longer made) I think it looks great.
4. Randy and I attended the bone marrow drive for Marcia Williams on Saturday. Even the snow storm couldn't stop us! It was super easy and totally painless. YEAH! Hopefully they can find a donor for Marcia. If Randy or I are a match for anyone we would happily donate. We were both interviewed by Fox 13 news. They used a small snippet of mine for the 9 o'clock news. I'm a star.

Bone Marrow Drive
A Season For Giving… The recent health struggles of Marcia Williams (wife of RSL midfielder Andy Williams) have been well chronicled here and in other places. Many of you have graciously offered your support time and again. Well now is the time that we can really make it happen.
As you may know, the treatment of Marcia’s condition requires the usage of a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, to this point, an appropriate donor has not been found. Hopefully that will change on Saturday, December 13 when Real Salt Lake hosts a bone marrow drive at Rio Tinto Stadium from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
We ask that anyone willing join us in the Center Circle Club at the stadium and undergo free testing to see if you’re a match. All it takes is a little paperwork and a swab of your cheek. In order for Marcia to survive, it is essential that a matching donor. For the sake of Marcia, Andy, and their two daughters, let’s make this happen.
Please come if you can. It's a simple swab for goodness sake!
If you are still curious for more information, head over to SoccerUnitesUtah.com for info on Marcia’s condition and DKMSamericas.org for more on what it means to be a bone marrow donor.

News on the BEST tour of 2009
Critics have lauded Keith as "one of the best reasons in the world to attend a live concert" and have been quoted as saying that "fans would be hard-pressed to find a much better country -- or rock -- show anywhere."
Keith recently released a new single, "Sweet Thing," which has been one of the top selling Country songs on iTunes since its release. His live concert DVD, "Love, Pain & the whole crazy World Tour," is currently available exclusively at all Wal-Mart stores.

Surgery went well, but
I won't post much, just to say that everything went great. I get out of my splint on Tuesday, which will definitely help my newly discovered bedhead! Currently I look like female version of Robert Pattinson, only with better eyebrows and some color to my skin. Until Tuesday, I am busy shopping online, learning to type one-handed and getting frustrated trying to open jars.
HASTA!
