School Pictures

I realize the boys look homeless, but here are their school pictures from this year...

Miles

Taylor

I am happy to report that last weekend Taylor got a haircut, so now only Carter and Miles look like the Jonas Brothers. I'm grateful that Taylor finally gave in because I was having a very hard time telling them apart!

It's almost here!

Carters New Guitar

Somehow Carter conned Randy and I into helping him buy a new guitar. He had almost half the money and is going to make monthly payments to guitar center for the next year to pay it off. It is a very pretty guitar, I think it's a Fender? Isn't Carter's hair glorious???????

Pics of my Posh Do

Here are some pics of the new cut. I needed to let it grow a little and get used to styling it before posting...

I love the new cut soooooo much! As a child from the 80's, I never thought I would see the day that I could use only a round brush and a blow dryer.

It's very Asymetrical!

Those were the words Randy used to describe my new haircut. I'll post pictures later, but heres my inspiration...

I think it will be cute once I drop some lb.s and get my cheekbones back.

Ladies who Lunch

Every month some gals from work and I meet up for lunch. We met at Chili's yesterday for some long overdue bitching and moaning about work. The crew included me, Donna, Angelise and Pearl and Julee and Sophie. The little girls were so cute! We discussed many important issues regarding why some people are such a-holes, why some are so ornery and how proud we were that Donna held her ground during a certain confrontation.

Afterwards Donna and I went to see House Bunny. It was hilarious. It reminded me of Revenge of the Nerds but with girls and a playboy bunny. If your looking to waste 90 minutes, and you want to laugh, go see it.

I'm off to work then watch Real kick the pants off the Crapids!

Teaching an old dog a new trick

If Kathy Griffin can teach her dog to walk on the tread, then so can I. Coco actually started to like it after awhile. Of course she got right off when we let go of her. When I'm done she'll be doing this....

New Call Tone

So I've been searching for a new call tone. Currently it is Kenny Chesney "Beer in Mexico". I only allowed the turtle on my phone since we were going to Mexico. After much debate, I've settled on Jason Mraz, "I'm Yours". It's not country, but hopefully you'll like it when you call.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!!

Miles and Taylor started 6th grade on Monday. I would love to post a few pictures of the glorious morning, but since neither of them would allow me to take their picture, there aren't any. Little Turds!

Long time no Blog

Sorry for the delay in blogging. It's been a very hectic few weeks. That's actually a lie. If I hadn't been sucked into the Twilight world I would have had plenty of time to blog.

I wanted to show everyone what we got dad for his birthday.

I heard of a great website while watching Good Things Utah the other day.

You can custom order jewelry, magnets, luggage tags, etc. We made Dad a money clip. The first picture is a little blurry. On the front it says Marv and has a picture of a guitar. On the back it says Poppy Guitar Man. I think it was Terah or Alyssa that started calling him that. It turned out really cute.

Last Friday Randy was off (stampin up has started a new work 9 days, 9 hours and get every other Friday off policy.) Taylor really wanted to go golfing. After a quick trip with guitar center to get Carter his new guitar ( I'll blog about that later) we were off to Mick Riley.

I can honestly say that I hate golf. It's so frustrating to follow that little ball around! I golfed the first hole, then I rode in the cart. Randy and the boys had a good time.
Miles and Taylor love to drive the gold carts. We had to keep an eye out for the Marshall so we wouldn't get caught. Afterwards we went to eat lunch at IV (Italian Village). It was a great last day together before the boys headed back to school.

It's an Epidemic!

Honestly, there are far too many people popping out kids. I can't say too much due to my family adding to the stress and patient load at IMC. So I hearby apologize to all my coworkers for allowing my sister and my neice to have children. I honestly had no control over the situation. My sister, Monica, is due in April and I'm unsure when my neice, Danielle, is due. It will be Doc's first baby. I warned her that motherhood isn't all it's cracked up to be, but she wants one anyway. Go figure?!?! Danielle, god bless her, is having twins. Hopefully she will be safe with the doctor that she's chosen. I'll try really hard to not say I told you so.

Real Salt Lake Open House

Tonight was the Real open house at Snowbird. It's always fun to go and meet the team, get autographs and pictures. We were detoured through the parking lot since a moose was close to the path leading to the venue. Miles was the only kid that we could get to go with us. Since he was nice enough to be our escort we bought him a Real jersey that he's been begging for. He was able to get it signed by the team. His favorite player is Nick Rimando, our goalie. Here are some pics... Chris Wingert, aka our Beckham look alike

Ian Joy

Andy Williams

Kyle Beckerman

Next home game is August 29th. Hopefully we can keep up our 1st place status.

Chris, Jack and Martina

Friday night Nut and I went to see Chris, Jack and Martina. I was so excited to finally see the 2 opening acts. We had seen Martina at fan fair before as well as the E center. I like her, but don't LOVE her. I was mainly interested in Chris and Jack. We had seen Chris at fan fair, but I don't recall ever seeing Jack live before. We went with Robert and Carla, Nut's brother and his wife. They had seats in a different section than us. We had noticed that during the opening acts the 2 seats on the 3rd row right next to us were free. They came and sat by us. Luckily, no one ever showed for their seats so they were able to stay with us for the show.
First up was Chris Young. I just love him. We won Nashville Star a few years back, but for some reason he never mentioned that. He played 5-6 songs. I really liked his new song Voices as well as 21. His new album will be out this fall. I will definitely get a copy. We waited after the show to meet him. He remembered our chance meeting in Nash a few years back. He even remembered that he was wearing a straw hat. WEIRD!

Next up was Jack Ingram...

I must say that I was a bit disappointed. I can see how he could be great in a smaller, bar type venue. His songs all started to sound the same after a few. It was obvious (blue solo cup) that he was WASTED. He played for about 40 minutes. He struggled to get the crowd on their feet. Most of us weren't feeling it.

Finally, it was time for Martina. She was great. I'm always on the fence about her, but she puts on a good show. She sang for about 90 minutes. She has so many songs that she can't fit all her hits in during the show. She is so tiny! It always surprises me how small she is. I could fit her in my pocket. Nut had managed to sneak in his Nikon camera. Martina had sung for about 15 minutes when security came over and had him put it away. Of course I had no batteries...THANKS KIDS! So we were left with not too many pics of Martina. It could have been worse, we could have had no pictures of Chris. We were too close to record anything as well. Man, I hate security!
